I am a lifetime lover of books. In fact, I credit reading romance with improving my scores in scholastic placements tests, which previously weren’t so hot. Romance novels were also great company if I was home sick from school and there was (at the time – waaay back in the ‘1970s) no English-speaking television during the day in Thailand. I was probably a little young to be reading them, but I don’t think I suffered any permanent damage. I also loved mysteries, especially gothics! Dark, old mansions – preferably on a cliff – with a brooding (is he a murderer or not?) hero who naturally needed a nanny or governor for his children because his wife was dead, possibly because of him. Throw in some thunderstorms and I am in! A cup of hot chocolate wouldn’t hurt, either.
When I am not reading, I enjoy making up stories for my enjoyment and yours. I love to go places in my books. It’s a chance to travel without dealing with TSA and bad food. Or maybe it’s a place I want to revisit. Either way, I love creating characters and putting them in romantic, maybe scary, sometimes heartbreaking situations and giving them their happily-ever-after. I hope you join me.
I also love to cook, watch cooking shows, travel shows, a lot of BBC, HBO, Showtime, Bravo and listen to podcasts. I live in Florida with my husband and three cats, who vie for their place on my computer chassis and firewall. It can get ugly, but pretty cute, too. What can I say? They’re multi-talented. One of them started a WebEx call with his furry little fanny. I can’t make this up. I’m not that good of a writer. Yet.
